    Today at the Person County Farmers Market

    Today at the market we will have, lettuce, cucumbers, squash, zucchini, green beans, kohlrabi, sweet peppers, basil, oregano, green beans, purple hull peas, a few cantaloupe, cucumbers, carrots, eggs, fresh cut flowers, blackberries fresh picked and frozen. Make sure to stop by and pick up something fresh from the field.

    Contribute to the Christian Help Center in Roxboro

    Starting on Saturdays, the market will have an open box for food donations for the Christian Help Center in Roxboro. You can purchase food from any or all of the market vendors and drop your donation in the box.     What type of price tag would you put on your health?

    We received the following from one of our new customers “What type of price tag would you put on your health?  This is my question to myself when I approach my grocery shopping.  Ultimately, by spending that extra $1.00 on those beautiful, organic carrots that my kids gobble up quicker than a bag a Doritos, my family is benefiting from all of the nutritional content of a vegetable that is loaded in Vitamin A (good for the eyes), K (which helps protect their bones) and of course Vitamin C, (which helps support their immune system) just to name a few!  Plus all the fiber that helps to keep their whole system…

    More on the grand, Grand Opening.

    The grand opening of the Person County Farmers Market on Saturday, June4 was well received by the vendors and consumers. There were more than 500 people that attended the event and there was a wide selection of fresh produce, meats, eggs, and baked goods. We thank Dave Bradsher from WKRX for doing a live radio remote broadcast. The Got To Be NC Shopping Cart was driven around the parking lot and was displayed at the corner of the lot for everyone to see.     Grand Opening of the Person County Farmers Market a Great Success

    We would like to thank everyone who stopped at the market on Saturday for helping make our grand opening a great success.  The market was full of shoppers from before 8am right up until closing at noon.   Market vendors gave away several heavy canvas Person County Farmers Market shopping bags and two boxes of produce, canned and baked goods.     Grand Opening of the Person County Farmers Market, Saturday Jun 4th, 8am-12noon

    The Person County Farmers Market will have its long awaited Grand Opening on Saturday, June 4 from 8 A.M. – 12 Noon. Activities that will be taking place at the market will include a live radio remote broadcast by WKRX 96.7 Radio, the Got To Be NC large motorized shopping cart that will have some complimentary items to give away, cooking demonstrations using local agricultural products provided by the market vendors, and live music provided throughout the morning.
