Wednesday at the Market

What an interesting beginning to July! I have never seen one so wet and such low temps (for July…). The chance of more torrential rain in the forecast is unbelievable! Usually the grass has stopped growing and veggies are starting to crisp up in the fields. The fields and crops are trying their best to breathe through the drier days, and free-range animals are roaming happily with plenty to eat in the pastures. Even with the unusual weather, the market still has your best for the beginning of summer! Great choice of meats, those staple summer veggies like squash, tomatoes, potatoes, onions & more, first summer fruits, and plenty of great baked goods and beautiful crafts! All grown or made within 70 miles of the market!

Come out today from 3-6 pm, and also don’t forget our big Tomato Day on Saturday! If your tomatoes are coming in, bring your 1. biggest, 2. most beautiful, and 3. most unique – to be judged from 10-noon. Bring your tomato for entering before 10 am!
